Adskeeper & Native Ads
What is Adskeeper?

Adskeeper is a native advertising platform that connects advertisers with a vast network of publishers, enabling businesses to reach their target audiences through engaging and non-intrusive ad formats.

What's Native advertising?

Native advertising is a form of paid advertising where the ad matches the look, feel, and function of the media format in which it appears. Unlike traditional display ads or banner ads, native ads integrate naturally with the surrounding content, making them less intrusive and more engaging for users.

Account-related
What should I do if I need to change my email in the account?

To keep things secure, we’ll need your manager to make that switch for you. Before getting your email changed, you will need to verify your account ownership. Drop your manager a line and they’ll guide you through the process.

GDPR
How does Adskeeper handle GDPR and other privacy regulations?

Adskeeper has thoroughly reviewed and updated its policies to align with GDPR standards, ensuring that all aspects of the regulation are effectively implemented.

Data Processing Roles: Within the framework of GDPR, Adskeeper functions both as a Data Controller and a Data Processor.
Data Controller: For user data collected through its platform, Adskeeper determines the purposes and means of processing.
Data Processor: For data collected on behalf of clients (respondents), Adskeeper processes data according to the client’s instructions, who act as Data Controllers.

To respect website user preferences, Adskeeper provides an opt-out mechanism. Website owners can implement a specific script that, when activated by a user, prevents the storage of unique cookies used for targeted advertising. This ensures that users who opt out still receive ads, but these ads are not personalized based on their data.

Adskeeper commits to retaining personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws. Adskeeper users with active accounts have control over their data and can request deletion when needed.

Basics
Is native advertising good for affiliate marketing?

Absolutely! Native advertising sits pretty high on the preference ladder for affiliate marketers. Whether you compare it with PPC, Banner Ads, or Social Media Ads, native advertising stands out for driving impactful performance.

How costly is native advertising?

The price tag for native advertising can range anywhere from $500 to a whopping $500,000. Factors like the publisher’s inventory, their domain credibility, target audience, and traffic niche competition play a part.

Geography (Country, region, or city)
Device Type (Desktop, mobile, or tablet)
Operating System (Windows, iOS, Android, etc.)

Retargeting (Re-engage users who have previously interacted with your ads)

How does retargeting work on Adskeeper?

Create an Audience: Define the criteria for users to be included in a segment.
Set Conditions: Specify behaviors or actions that qualify users for retargeting.
Launch Campaign: Deploy ads targeting the defined audience segment.

For detailed instructions, refer to Adskeeper’s retargeting guide in our Help Center.

Tracking
How can I track the performance of my campaigns?

Adskeeper provides built-in tracking features to monitor your campaign’s performance. You can also integrate third-party tracking tools for enhanced analytics. Detailed setup instructions are available in the help center.

What tracking options are available in Adskeeper?

Adskeeper offers three primary tracking methods to analyze traffic performance:

1. Pixel (JavaScript): Ideal if you have access to the offer’s page source code. By embedding a JavaScript code into your landing and subsequent pages, you can monitor user actions throughout the conversion funnel. Ensure the pixel code is placed high in the webpage’s body to minimize discrepancies.

2. Postback (Server-to-Server or S2S): Suitable when you lack access to the offer’s source code. This method utilizes a third-party tracking system to monitor conversions. AdsKeeper passes a unique click ID (c={click_id}) in the tracking link, which you then use to report back conversions via a postback URL.

3. Google Analytics Integration: Allows you to track performance using Google Analytics. Enable Tracking Tags and UTM Tagging in your campaign settings, and integrate your Google Analytics account by providing the appropriate email address.

Each method provides detailed insights into your campaign’s performance, enabling effective optimization.

How does the moderation process work?

All ads undergo a moderation process to ensure compliance with Adskeeper’s policies:

Submission: After creating an ad, submit it for review.
Review: The moderation team evaluates the ad’s content, imagery, and landing pages.
Approval/Rejection: You’ll receive notification of the ad’s status. If rejected, reasons will be provided, and you can make necessary adjustments for resubmission.
Understanding the moderation process helps in creating compliant ads and reducing approval times.

What are the creative guidelines for ads on Adskeeper?

Ads must adhere to specific content standards to ensure quality and compliance:

Prohibited Content: Ads should not contain adult material, illegal substances, weapons, or any form of discrimination.
Imagery: Avoid using images depicting violence, nudity, or offensive content.
Language: Use clear and non-misleading language; avoid sensationalism or offensive terms.

Widgets and Ads
What widget formats do you have?

We offer a rich selection of native formats, including:

— Under-article widget: A powerhouse performer for most websites.
— In-article widget (various subtypes): Extremely popular, with performance metrics often varying based on specific conditions.
— Smart widget: A formidable alternative to under-article widgets, boasting high CTR and several other perks.
And many more. For a comprehensive breakdown, get in touch with your account manager.

What widgets perform the best?

Our native widgets have a stellar performance track record. We often recommend starting with an under-article and in-article widget combo – they’ve been tried, tested, and loved by our community for their revenue-generating prowess. Additionally, our Smart widget, which acts as an alternative to under-article widgets, has consistently shown impressive results. For some personalized advice, your manager is just a message away.

How can I customize my widget?

We’ve designed our dashboard to give you ample freedom in crafting your widget. If you’ve already created one and fancy a change, hit the edit button next to it. For advanced customizations beyond the dashboard’s offerings, your manager’s always there to assist.

Can I show my posts on your widgets?

Absolutely! Our widgets support an internal exchange function. To get it activated, a quick chat with your manager will do the trick.

Why can’t I create new widgets?

Each account has a limit for creating widgets of a specific type. If you’ve hit this cap, ensure all your existing widgets are active. Check if you have unused ones. Consider removing them to make space for fresh ones. If everything’s in use and you still need more, it’s time for a chat with your account manager.

I would like to remove certain type of ads I find inappropriate. How can I do it?

If you’d prefer certain ads not to appear on your widgets, simply reach out to your manager with your request. Adding screenshots of the concerning images would be super helpful. However, please note that such decreasing number of ads rotating on your widgets might affect your earnings with us.

Can I get banners in Adskeeper?

While our expertise suggests that native widgets generally offer better performance and higher CTR, we respect your choice. If banners feel right for your website, please touch base with your manager to get things moving.

Can I place my widgets on AMP pages?

Our widgets are fully compatible with AMP pages. To place a widget on an AMP page, make use of the dedicated AMP code. If any snags come up, don’t hesitate to contact your manager for assistance.

Why is my widget not showing on the website?

First up, double-check if you’ve implemented the code right. Ensure it’s unchanged as even a small tweak can throw things off. If everything’s on point but the issue persists, ping your manager with the specifics, and they’ll dive in.

Payments
When will I get paid?

At Adskeeper, we work based on the NET30 payment terms, which means that you’ll receive payments once a month based. Your earnings from last month land in your account by the end of the current month. Check out the ‘Payouts’ section on your dashboard for specifics. Haven’t seen an upcoming payout? It might be because of not reaching the minimum payout limit by the month’s start. If there’s any unexpected delay, just reach out to your dedicated manager to sort things out.

Why didn’t I receive my payout?

Payouts usually roll out by the end of the month. First, glance at the ‘Payouts’ section on your dashboard to spot the date of your upcoming payout. If there’s no pending payout, the minimum payout limit might not have been met by the 1st of the month. For specifics, you might find the payment threshold in your dashboard>payouts. Opted for Bank-to-bank transfer? Allow 3-5 business days for funds to reflect. And as always, if things seem out of place, your manager is just a message away.

How do I change my payout details?

As long as your payment status reads ‘Pending’, you can modify your payout details. Just head over to the ‘Payouts’ section, pick the payout method you’d like to alter, and hit ‘Edit payout method’. Follow up by entering your new details, and you’ll get a confirmation email to lock in the changes. If you’re having a spot of bother editing, don’t stress! Your manager’s there to help.

What are the transaction fees?

Fees vary based on your payout method. With Paypal, you’ll encounter the standard Paypal fees. Opting for a Bank transfer? The fees hinge on your bank’s policies. And for Tipalti payouts below $100, fees are:
eCheck (non-USD): $5
Wire (non-USD): $16
Wire (USD): $26

What is the payout threshold?

We’ve set different payout thresholds for various methods to cater to your convenience:
Paypal: $100
Paymaster24: $50
Bank transfers (both domestic and international): $1,000
Tipalti: $100 (note: an additional $26 fee applies)

I see an error when I’m trying to add the website to my account. What should I do?

Check if the website has been added previously. Websites can be active in only one account at a time. Revenue
Do you work on CPC, CPA, or CPM?

At Adskeeper, our core focus is on the CPC (Cost Per Click) model. It’s the clicks that count the most for us. While CPM (Cost Per Thousand Impressions) and CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) are common in the industry, our strategy centers around ensuring quality engagement via clicks.

My RPM has decreased. What should I do?

Seeing fluctuating RPMs can be a tad unsettling, but fret not. We advise keeping an eagle eye on the CPC rate, as it paints a truer picture of your revenue. Need a deeper dive into metrics or strategies to revitalize your RPM? Your manager is just a message away.

Ads.txt
What is ads.txt and how do I add it to my website?

Ads.txt lets you publicly declare which companies are authorized to sell your digital ad inventory.

The ads.txt file was successfully updated, however, the message has not disappeared from the dashboard. What should I do?

Ensure you’ve accurately added all the ads.txt lines. Give it 24 hours for our system to catch up with the changes. If you’ve dotted all the i’s and crossed the t’s and that message remains, try a quick cache and cookies clear. Still there? Your manager will assist you with it.
